Welcome to the Moore Wellness Solutions Blog

After several successful years in business, we’re excited to announce the launch of our blog!

At Moore Wellness Solutions, we’ve built strong relationships with our clients and shared countless insights along the way. We’re eager to continue that journey and provide even more valuable information.

To kick things off, we sat down with owner Sara Moore to discuss her experiences in the industry, her journey so far, and what’s next for Moore Wellness Solutions.

Q: What is your background and areas of expertise?

“I hold a Bachelor’s in Public Health and a Master’s in Nursing, and I’m a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience. As a registered nurse I worked in acute care settings such as cardiac ICU and cardiothoracic surgery and as an APRN  in primary care. My current passion is medical aesthetics, health and wellness promotion, and disease prevention – ultimately helping people enhance their appearance and well-being through various treatments and lifestyle choices.”

Q: When did you start Moore Wellness Solutions and why?

“I founded Moore Wellness Solutions 4 years ago, but the idea had been developing for much longer. My goal as a nurse practitioner has always been to help patients find the tools and lifestyle changes to prevent them from becoming ICU patients, as I had experienced for 13 years in the hospital. In the corporate healthcare environment, with only 15-minute appointments, I struggled to connect meaningfully with patients beyond just prescribing medications or making referrals.”

“I realized that feeling good about oneself leads to healthier choices, a concept supported by scientific evidence. Medical aesthetics played a role in my own well-being, and I wanted to use that to help others. My vision for my practice has always been focused on holistic wellness, health promotion, and disease prevention, rather than just offering cosmetic treatments.”

Q: Are there any of your services that you recommend more than others for aging and overall skincare health?

“I often recommend skincare products or facials before starting advanced treatments such as dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and microneedling, which are our top options for aging skin. During the initial consultation, we will discuss general health, nutrition, and physical activity, as these factors significantly influence skin quality. A person’s medical history and lifestyle—like their diet, exercise, smoking, or drinking and lifestyle habits—can affect the results of their aesthetic treatments, so it’s essential to address these aspects.”

Q: Why did you become certified for acne care?

“As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, I am licensed to evaluate, diagnose, and treat various health and skin conditions. I’m particularly passionate about treating acne due to its significant physical and emotional impact at any age. I completed a certification program with Face Reality, which deepened my understanding of acne types and effective treatment protocols.”

“While medications often target oil or bacteria, they can have risks and may only provide temporary benefits. By addressing the underlying issues and using the right skincare products, we can achieve longer-lasting results. As a licensed practitioner, I can also prescribe oral or topical medications when necessary.”

“I’m concerned about the influence of social media on younger individuals, including my own teens. Many brands target youth with expensive products, often without a full understanding of their potential impact on current and future skin health.”

Q: How do you think beauty goals are changing? What do you hope to see in the future for skincare and wellness?

“There are some exciting trends in medical aesthetics right now, particularly a shift toward regenerative approaches that help the skin and body build new, healthier tissue. We’re moving away from the frozen, over-filled look, focusing instead on natural, subtle results—something I prioritize at Moore Wellness Solutions.

“I make sure to educate clients on how aging, products, and lifestyle choices affect their skin and the maintenance required to achieve their desired look. In the future, we’ll likely see more emphasis on the gut microbiome and its connection to skin appearance. We already know gut health influences conditions like acne and rosacea, and we’re discovering how chronic inflammation affects aging skin and other chronic diseases. This aligns perfectly with my passion for holistic health and wellness.”

Q: What are some of your favorite skincare products? What’s your skincare routine?

“I’m really enjoying Biojuve by Crown Aesthetics, as it represents the future of skincare with its live probiotic bacteria that improve skin health, similar to probiotics for gut health. I also love Neocutis products, especially Biocream, which originated from extensive Swiss research in wound care and has skin-regenerating properties.”

“At Moore Wellness Solutions, I use all the products I carry on myself or my children, ensuring I recommend only what I’ve personally tried and trust. My essentials include an exfoliating cleanser (glycolic or mandelic acid) three times a week, Lumiere Firm eye cream, Neo Firm neck cream, hydrabalance gel from Face Reality, tinted SPF from Neocutis, and Biojuve at night. I also get chemical peels and SaltFacials every 2-3 months, SkinPen microneedling once or twice a year, and Ultherapy annually above my eyebrows.”

Q: On a personal level, what do you do for self-care?

“I eat healthy, exercise, and lift weights daily. I get a massage every 2-3 months, and I recently have gotten into Reiki. Oh, and of course, I treat myself to aesthetic treatments at regular intervals (wink, wink)”

Q: What’s next for Moore Wellness Solutions in 2025?

“With the help of my loyal existing and future clients, we will continue to grow at Moore Wellness Solutions. I look forward to listening to and hearing my clients and adding services or treatments they are most interested in or will benefit from the most.”
